OR Buzz

The OR is a beehive of activity.  The surgical teams completed over 40 cases on Monday, about 20 cases on Tuesday, and at least that many today.  Our 25 tonsillectomy patients stayed overnight before heading to Casa de Fe to recover.  Many of the younger patients were eager to leave the hospital before they were ready, so Sam, our very popular volunteer and guardian of the Connect Four game, was recruited to entertain them in the recovery room.  The operating rooms are running smoothly, and the students continue to shadow and express their enthusiasm for the types of cases they are observing.
