Antigua 2016 – Day 6, Casa de Fe

In the sanctuary of Casa de Fe, our patients are able to recover and receive extra TLC before heading home. Many of our patients have walked to Antigua and need to physically prepare for the trek home. One family with whom we have spoken walked for three days from their home on the Guatemalan border of El Salvador to come to our clinic. At Casa de Fe, our medical staff makes rounds to monitor patients’ postoperative status, and the support staff volunteers bring crafts and movies, fold clean laundry, and help prepare food in the kitchen.
